She advised students to be on their best behaviour and shun any negative activities during the carol. She also applauded Very Rev Fr. (Dr) Anthony Mario Ozele for making out time to attend despite his very busy schedule.
Highly entertaining Performances where presented by the different performing factions, after which the lessons were read by the persons assigned to each.
St. John's choir where the first group to take the stage. They thrilled the audience with performances that kept the crowd screaming for more.
The pentecostal Student's Choir took over the stage and delivered performances that Fupre staffs and students would not forget in a hurry. They carried the crowd along in their thrilling performances and dance moves.
Very Rev Fr. (Dr) Anthony Mario Ozele during his sermon encouraged students and staff to make use of this yuletide period by reaching out to the needy in the Society. He also reminded all present, on the importance of Christmas; which he said signifies the birthday of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoined all christains present to spread the good news of Jesus birth and its importance to humanity. He also admonished all, that the period of Christmas is a period of receiving and giving, and as such all Christains should give and expect something in return. He stole the attention of the students and staff by adding Moral thrilling stories to his sermon. Very Rev Fr. (Dr) Anthony Mario Ozele after his sermon went into some series of prayer sessions. He prayed for the growth and development of FUPRE, its staff and students.
When everybody thought the fun was done for the day, that was when the Urhobo Choir, led by Mr. Isaac Emoavwobia, popularly known as “Ose” took to the stage. The cheering and clapping from both students and staffs as soon as they started performing the urhobo native songs also known as “Abor-abor” would have been able to pull down the walls of Jericho. The students who couldn't contain theirselves in their seats, took to the dance floor to exhibit their amazing energetic dancing skills.
The day would have not been complete if refreshments were not available. All present where treated to a very nice refreshment. There was more than enough food for all.
The closing prayers /Benediction was said, and the event was brought finally to a close.
More photos after the cut.
