This year's event promises to be educating, fun-filled, engaging and full of surprises.
The week begins officially on the 24th of November, 2014, with an opening ceremony, which will feature talks and symposia. On Tuesday 25th is the Old school day/ hostel day celebrations. Students are enjoined to come to school dressed in their best old school attires, as the best dressed student will go home with a prize!!! lol
On Wednesday, will be the final of this year's departmental football tourney between chemistry department, and petroleum engineering. Chemistry will be looking to revenge petroleum for last years final loss. It will be a cracking final to watch. Later that evening will be the annual Bonfire concert, which will feature performances from top fupre artistes. Its one night you can't afford to miss...I also heard there will be free suya...On Thursday is the film show/couples night out. Its a night for everybody, even if you are single, you can still come out, and have a good time! I'll be there too, repping #TeamSingle :(
Then on Friday, is the miss fupre/ Award night! A night to celebrate excellence in students and lecturers too! More details about this particular event will be released in due course.
On Saturday is the cultural day, and am looking forward to eating lots of traditional cuisines that day! From Edikang Ikong, to amala and ewedu, to owho soup,starsh, Pounded yam hehehe i hope all our girls are ready...I can't wait...Then on Sunday, we shall bring the week to a close, with an interdenominational Church service, to give thanks to God for a successful students week!
I plead with all students to be fully involved in one way or the other, so the week long event will be a huge success, and set the tone for upcoming ones.
